If your usual Business Address is *not* the actual address that the Activity will be taking place at, then you must supply an “Alternate Address”
Your Users must know where they have to go to attend the Activity. It may be your regular Business Address, but it may be elsewhere – and that’s where the “Alternate Address” comes into play.
You users must know the actual address where the activity takes place. We have a “Get Directions” feature for them in their Apps, so we want to steer them in the right direction!
When you Add, Edit** or Copy an Activity, the address for the Activity will default to your business address. In most cases, this will indeed be the address where the Activity will take place, so you will answer “yes” to the question: “Is the address given above the address at which the Activity will take place?”
If your normal business address is *not* the actual address that the Activity will be taking place at, then you must give an “Alternate Address” by answering “No” to the question: “Is the address given above the address at which the Activity will take place?”
By answering “No”, you will then have the ability to enter the actual address that the activity will be taking place at.
This is very important in making sure that the Users know exactly where to find you and your wonderful Activity!
** If an Activity has bookings against it, or any of its future recurrences, then you will not be able to change the Address of the Activity. See more about this here.
